Carol Rose Larson, 86, beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister, passed away on December 2, 2008 at her home in Taos. She was born on February 5, 1922. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Larson, and her son, Michael Larson. She is survived by her sister Jean Tuck of Ft. Collins, Colorado; her daughters Kathleen Woodall of Taos, Jeanne Green of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Christine Cromwell of Vancouver, Washington, Melissa Larson of Taos, and Candace Larson of Portland, Oregon; her grandchildren Carolyn Nordstrom, Christopher Cromwell, Lucy Woodall, Nathan Green, Sam Woodall, and Megan Green; and great-grandchildren, Monica and Nicole Nordstrom.
Carol was born in Galesburg, Illinois on February 5, 1922. She worked in Washington DC during World War II and met her husband Louis in Chicago in 1946. She lived and raised her family in Hawaii, New York, Florida, Oklahoma and California, and traveled widely during her life. She was a lover of literature, music, art, history and beauty. She was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed.
Funeral mass for Carol was held on December 4, 2008 at St. Francis Church in Ranchos de Taos. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in San Diego, California.
