Casemiro Montoya

Casimero (Casey) Patricio Montoya, 66, passed away on Wednesday 29th of May at Presbyterian Rust Hospital, in Rio Rancho, NM.  He was born on Oct 8, 1952 in Jaroso, Colorado to Abel Montoya and Euphrosina Arellano Montoya Casimero (Casey) grew up in Truchas and Questa New Mexico.  He graduated from Questa High School in Questa, New Mexico in 1971.  After high school he attended Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Casey worked as a dispatcher for the local police department, fire firefighter and numerous laborer jobs.  Casey was preceded in death by his father Abel Montoya and mother Euphrecinia Montoya, brother, Allen Montoya.  Casey is survived by his daughter, Maria Gonzalez, son in law, Jason Gonzalez and four granddaughters, Anastacia, Araceli, Amalia, Alianna. stepchildren, Jake Cardenas, Margo Rael, Andrew Cardenas, his brother, Abel and Theresa Montoya, sister, Elaine Montoya, brother, George and Janice Montoya, sister, Barbara and Evaristo Rael, brother, Cristóbal and Yolanda Montoya, brother, Lawrence and Lorraine Montoya, siste,r Frances and Russel Martinez, sister, Cindy and Gasper Miera, brother, Eddie Montoya, and brother, Richard and Susanne Montoya.

A rosary service will be held at 6:00pm on Sunday June 2nd, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Church in Questa, New Mexico.  A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday June 3rd, 2019 and burial immediately after at El Pueblito Cemetery in Questa, New Mexico.
