Catalina R. Barela

Catalina R. Barela, of Taos passed away on August 30, 2006. She was an Aztec dancer with the dance group Iscalli in Nantzin. She was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Manuel "Manny" E. Barela, daughters, Jenee "Paloma" Barela and Lucy Padilla (Rhom) all of Taos, parents, Don & Jennie Wilson of Pittsburg. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Francisco Reyna of Denver, Esther Valverde (Alberto) of Mexico, Rafaela Alvardo (Gabriel) of Mexico, Jessie Reyna of Denver, Maria Reyna of Taos, Louis Chiapparelli (Dolly) of Bakersfield, CA, grandmother, Dominga Espina de Reyna of Mexico, beloved, nieces and nephew, Angelika Barela, Tristan and Isabella Padilla, godchildren, Joshua Reyna, Gabriella Spence, Dominque Spence, Adelina Sanchez, beloved pet, Koqueta, many other relatives and friends. Evening service was held on September 01, 2006. Funeral service was held on September 02, 2006. Both services were held at Taos Foursquare Church. Interment was held at Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
