Cecilia Cortez

Cecilia M. Cortez La Titi, 66, of Taos passed away in peace in her home on April 5, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Cecilia was a great woman and a woman of faith. She was simply THE BEST and will always be remembered for her caring nature, always willing to assist others before taking care of her own needs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Daniel F. Cortez, parents, Jose Estevan and Ester Mondragon, sister, Molly Montoya, niece, Kathy Mondragon and brother in law, Frank Montoya. Cecilia is survived by her only son, Francisco E. Cortez and wife, Gail, who she was very proud of. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Francisco Jr., Santiago and Daniela, who she adored very much, sister, Manuelita Mondragon and brother, Dennis Mondragon and wife, Priscilla and many very special nieces and nephews and friends. Rosary was recited on April 7, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass was held on April 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment was held on April 9, 2010 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
