Celestina Tafoya

Celestina Tafoya, 96, of Talpa passed away January 8, 2010. Celestina worked for 19 years as a foster grand- mother with the Angelitos. She is preceded in death by husband, Jose Antonio Tafoya, brothers, Fernando, Tom, Rafael, Evaristo, Tranquelino and Crecensio Candelario, sisters, Tomasita Duran, Annie Rivera, Cleofes Archuleta and daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Tafoya. She is survived by children, Carlos Tafoya (Emma) of Albuquerque, Margaret T. Valerio (Henry), of Talpa and Gloria Vigil (Nelson) of Ranchos de Taos, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Rosary was recited on January 10, 2010. Funeral mass was held on January 11, 2010. Both services were held at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Interment was held at the San Antonio Cemetery in Black Lake.
