Charles Barry a life long resident of Pojoaque passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005. He will be lovingly remembered for his intelligence, humor, unwavering devotion to his wife and family, and his pride in serving his country. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Maria Barry on April 14, 2005, parents, Richard and Matiena Barry,
step sons, Arturo and Ruben Quintana. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Meeks and her husband Carl of Ridgecrest, CA, Anna Mc Lain and her husband Jim of Socorro, and Nora Barry of Albuquerque, Step daughters, Margie Hoffman of Moreno Valley, CA, Marie Fitzgerald and her husband Brandon of San Francisco, CA, sister in laws, Rosalina Gomez of El Rancho, Ruth Montoya of Santa Fe, Conce Romero of Albuquerque, and Eralia Mead and her husband Art of Las Vegas, NV, brother in law, Aguinaldo Romero and his wife Trinnie of El Rancho, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as many other family members and friends. Recitation of the rosary was held on Sunday, May 8 at 5:30 pm at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espanola. A funeral was held on Monday, May 9 at 9:30 also at Block-Salazar Mortuary. The burial will followed at The Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 11:30 pm with military honors.
