Charles Jeffrey Romero

Charles Jeffrey Romero was called home on March 27, 2021.  Charlie was born in Santa Fe to Joe and Lillian Romero on August 4, 1962.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons Joseph and Joshua, and his brother Jody Romero.  Charlie leaves behind his beloved wife of 32 years, Cyndi Romero, his daughter Jessica (Thomas) Barrera, his son Jeff Romero, grandchildren Elijah and Evelyn Barrera, sisters Joyce (Greg) Gonzales,  Laura (Tom) White and  Susan Griego, several nieces and nephews, family and friends. 

Charlie was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, N.M.  He graduated from Santa Fe High school, and completed his education from California College for Health Sciences in Respiratory Care.  He served in the NM Army National Guard, served as an Associate Pastor at Ascent Bible Church, and was a long time business owner. 

Charlie loved his family. He enjoyed traveling, camping and ministry.  Popi loved his grandchildren, the jewels in his crown.  Charlie was known for his compassion, calming spirit, generosity and humble nature.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Services for Charlie will take place on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Ascent Bible Church located at 2076 Galisteo Street, Santa Fe, N.M.
