Charles Zobac

Charles B. (Chuck) Zobac passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 at his home. His shocked and saddened family members include his wife, Carol Rose, daughters Lauren Zobac, Whitney (Chelsea) Zobac-Owyeung, Courtney (Alicia) Zobac, grandson Bradford James Owyeung, stepsons Kevin (Bonnie) and Russ (Shannon) Sanford, 6 step-grandchildren, sister Becky (Dick) Mauch and their children. A well known veteran of the Vietnam War, Chuck lived 30 years in the Bay Area after returning from serving, where he was married and raised 3 daughters and enjoyed sailing, swimming and roller-blading with his daughters. He had a passion for learning, attending college off and on for years, finally proudly receiving his BS degree in 2009 from the College of Santa Fe. He loved reading, cooking for others, helping other veterans, and was an active member of AA, proud of his 34 years in recovery. He also could be found almost daily bargain hunting at garage sales, thrift stores and estate sale., He was a larger than life guy and will be missed by many.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Rivera Kiva Chapel, 417 E Rodeo  Rd, Santa Fe, where Memorial Service will begin at 12:30 PM Tuesday.  Interment with full military honors will follow at 2:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
