Christian J. Deubel, age 67, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on August 26, 2022. Chris was born in Quebec, Canada and later moved to Connecticut and then to New Mexico where he attended Larragoite, St. Michael’s and Santa Fe High School. He attended Denver Automotive and Diesel College, and shortly afterward began his career as an automotive machinist at Santa Fe Auto Machine. Chris left his career after 33 years to help his beloved wife, Irene Deubel, with the operations at the family business, Dunkin’ Donuts. Chris dearly loved his family, but especially his wife of 43 years, his children and his grandchildren. He was a talented craftsman, and enjoyed fishing and watching sports. He was a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins, Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Braves. Chris will be remembered for his incredible outgoing personality and generous demeanor. Chris is preceded in death by his father, Constantin Deubel, his mother, Martha Deubel, his brother, Richard Deubel, and his grandchildren, Logan and Autumn Lujan. Chris is survived by his wife, Irene Deubel, his daughters, Jacqueline Deubel and Jolene Deubel Lujan (Cruz), his son, Justin Deubel (Ashley), his grandchildren, Raven Dawn Blackburn, Wolfgang Wade Blackburn, Cruz Gabriel Lujan and Cash Emiliano Lujan, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members, and many, many friends. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rivera Funeral Home Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM, with a reception to follow.
Burial will take place on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00pm at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens, 417 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM.
