Christina Michelle Varela, our loving baby passed away on July 24, 2020, to be with her GrandpaLuciano “Lucky” Varela, Great Grandmother Ella Trujillo and Grandpa Victor Martinez.Christina is survived by her loving mother and father, Annette Martinez-Varela and Jeff Varela;her beautiful sister Camille Marie Varela (Boyfriend Vince Aragon) her loving fiancé DeputyBernalillo County Sheriff Marco Baldonado and her beloved dog “Bullet”. Grandparents AmeliaMartinez, Joe Tapia, Evangeline “Concha” Clokey; her great-grandmother Dube Naranjo; great-aunt Lupe Varela, her loving aunties Denise Leal, Rebecca “Becky” Tapia, and Susan Varela;uncles Vincent Leal, James Varela and Fr. John Cannon; God sister Ashlyn Tapia-Gallegos,cousins Amanda (Ryan), Michael (great cousin Hunter Benny) and Alyssa Leal, Adam, Aaron,Alyssa, Andrea and Nicholas Varela; her adopted sister Shai Baca and adopted niece Leiliana,and other extended families Martinez, Trujillo, Varela and Tapia. She is also survived by herbeloved friends and co-workers.Christina was born in Santa Fe, NM on April 3, 1987. She was born six weeks after her cousinAmanda and raised like sisters. Christina moved with her parents to Rio Rancho in 1994, andwas blessed with the birth of her loving sister Camille, in 1998. Christina was employed withthe State of NM, Administrative Office of the Courts and was engaged to be married to her loveMarco. Christina loved her family dearly and being with them for family gatherings. She lovedbeing in the outdoors with her parents, sister and with their RV family in Chama for Chama dayseach year. She loved being with us each year for the Santa Fe Fiesta and Zozobra. Christina wasa big sports fan of the Oakland Raiders, Boston Celtics and Chicago Cubs. She went with herfather, sister and Ernie Ortiz to Oakland, CA each football season to watch her beloved Raiders.Christina has gone to be with our Lord and Mother Mary. She will be missed by family and hermany friends! We love you jita… and will miss your adorable looks, smile, laugh and the loveyou have for us.

Services will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at San Isidro Church, 3552 AguaFria St. Santa Fe, NM, 87507. Face masks are required. Thank you.
