Christine Vasquez

Mrs. Christine Vasquez, age 80 of El Rito, NM. died peacefully on Tuesday May 1, 2012. A lifelong resident of El Rito, Mrs. Vasquez was a parishioner of San Nepomuceno Catholic Church, a devoted provider for her family, enjoyed music on the radio, and was a sports enthusiast. She was born in 1931 to Guadalupe and Rosenda Manzanares. She was preceded in death by them, and also brother Garcy Manzanares, son Abran Vasquez and daughter Georgia Vasquez. She is survived by son Charles Vasquez and wife Gina of El Rito, David Vasquez of Chili, Prescilla Gallegos of Albuquerque, George Vasquez, Jr. of El Rito, daughter Renee Lydick of Rio Rancho, sister Charlotte Varoz and husband Gilbert of El Rito, and brother Arturo Manzanares and wife Elvira of El Rito, many beloved grandchildren and other relatives. Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 7 PM in the chapel of Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10 AM at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito, with Fr. Pat Chavez officiating. Interment will follow at The Placitas Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Kevin & Dominic Vasquez, Elmer & Arthur Manzanares, Joel Joseph and Alex DeAguero, and Honorary pallbearers: Kayla Lucero, Latisha Castillo, Charlene Perales, Bianca Trujillo, Shaynae & Brittney Vasquez, Justin, Destiny and Adrian Lydick, and Christina & Michelle Gallegos and Abel Trujillo.
