Christopher Sanchez

Our Special Angel, Christopher Raymond Sanchez, 59, of Taos passed away on January 10, 2023.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Eufelio and Adonelia Sanchez, brothers, Arturo and Gilbert Sanchez, and brother-in-law Isaac Gonzales.  He is survived by his siblings, Lorraine Sanchez, Erlinda Gonzales, Virginia Ibarra (John), and his guardian and very special brother Eddie Sanchez (Cheryl), sisters in law, Lena Sanchez and Teresita Mascarenas, aunts, Cruzita Valencia and Josephine Atencio, uncles, Jesse Sanchez (Josie) and Tony Medina.  He is also survived by his special caretakers, Laura Suazo Mondragon (Nate) and Eddie Sanchez Jr.,  and by many nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Christopher was born with Down Syndrome, and because of this his father worked diligently to develop programs for citizens with intellectual disabilities; Eufelio Sanchez was the founder of the Taos ARC.

Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 16 at 6 PM at Rivera Family Funeral Home, Taos. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Taos, New Mexico with interment to follow at Sierra Vista Cemetery.
