Christopher Vigil

Christopher G. Vigil, age 40 of Santa Fe went home to our lord Jesus on March 7, 2022.

Chris attended Capital High School where he met the love of his life, fiancée Nicole Fairchild. After graduating high school in 2000, Chris worked for the State of New Mexico and later moved on to work for the City of Santa Fe, where he currently was employed. Chris also worked for Jenn’s Diner food truck during the spring and summer months.

Chris enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his fiancée Nicole, especially to Disneyland. He loved cruising his lowrider and participating in car shows. Chris loved lowriders since he was a young child. He currently was the vice president for Good Times Car Club Santa Fe. He enjoyed cooking and grilling. He also enjoyed working in the backyard gardening. Chris exercised daily to keep in good health. Chris was very friendly and loved to joke around. His laugh and smile were contagious. Chris will dearly be missed by family and many friends.

Chris is survived by his fiancée, Nicole Fairchild; parents George Vigil and Josephine Lopez; siblings, Roberta Tapia, Kathy Lopez and Leonard Lopez; nephew, Adrian Roybal; niece, Mariah Chavez, who were like his children; God daughter, Sophia Vigil, as well as many extended family and dear friends.

He was reunited in Heaven with his two brothers Gerald Lopez and Michael Lopez; maternal grandparents, Luciano and Victoria Sena; paternal grandparents, Margarito and Aurelia Vigil.

A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at St. Anne Parish and a Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Rivera Family Funeral and Cremations, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM.
