Ciriaco Herrera, 58, a resident of Coyote, NM passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his brothers and sisters.
Ciriaco is preceded in death by his father, Juan E. Herrera; Mother, Amada V. Herrera; Sister, Amy Baca, maternal grandparents Thomas and Emilia Velasquez; paternal grandparents Ciriaco Herrera and Isa Herrera-Ortega; brothers-in-law, Richard Martinez, Helario Valdez and Phil Salazar. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Juanita Herrera of Coyote, Veronica Valdez of Espanola, Albertina & Johnny Velasquez of Canones, Emily Martinez of Coyote, Jerrie & Adrian Ortiz of Santa Fe, Drucie Herrera & Clemente Salazar of Chamita, Estevan Herrera & Esther Martinez of Coyote, Abram Herrera of Coyote. Three nieces raised as his sisters Valerie & Steve Herrera; Judy Mack and Phaedra Herrera plus many other nieces and nephews.
Ciriaco devoted his life working as a Rancher. He enjoyed working on his vehicles and taking care of his farm animals.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service took place on June 7, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. No other services will be held.
