Claudia Carrasco De Quintana

1970 — November 2, 2023

Claudia Ines Carrasco de Quintana, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister returned to her Heavenly Father on Dia de los Muertos, November 2, 2023.

Claudia was born in 1970 in Mexico City, Mexico to Nicolas Carrasco Torres and Esperanza Calderon Arrellano. She was raised in Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to New Mexico where she married the love of her life, Joseph Marcos Quintana on May 17, 1997.  Together they raised their 3 beloved children in Arroyo Seco, NM.

Claudia devoted her life to her faith and her family.  She was a devout Catholic and an active member of La Santisima Trinidad in Arroyo Seco.  She had a special devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe and served as a member of Las Guadalupanas.  She shared her love of God with her family, not only in word but also through her actions.  Claudia loved others deeply and was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need.  You would often find her volunteering with Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Youth Group, caring for her nieces and nephews on her days off from Inspire day care and spending time with her family, both in Taos and in Chihuahua.  Her loving smile and generous heart are only a couple of the many things that will be especially missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband for nearly 20 years, Joseph Marcos Quintana, father, Nicolas Carrasco Torres, mother and father in law, Pablo J. Quintana and Rose M. Quintana and infant sister, Aurorita. Claudia is survived by her children, Jose Nicolas (Julia), Mariana Guadalupe and Maria Fernanda, beloved granddaughters, Esperanza Ines and Gabriela Magdalena, mother, Esperanza Calderon Arrellano. Survivors also include her siblings, Jaime, Ana (Lalo), Marco, and Gustavo (Mary), Godchildren, Ximena, Ana Paula, Vanessa and Karyme and many more beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 6 PM at Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco with interment to follow at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
