Cleo Anderson, born Cleotilde Trujillo, August 17, 1924 passed away June 20, 2010 in San Diego, CA. Cleo went through school in Canon and Taos, graduating from Taos High. After graduating she move to Santa Fe to work at the Capitol, and in the early forties moved to San Diego, during WWII, to help with the war effort. While there she married Don Anderson and raised four children, keeping employed most of the time as a waitress after the war. Cleo went back to school in the early 80s, and in the mid 80s returned to Taos to take care of her parents. She also worked at the LIHEAP Office in El Prado as a Caseworker for several years, volunteering countless extra hours of her time gathering and distributing food to those in need, always with her big mischievous smile and twinkling hazel eyes. Early in the 2000s Cleo went to work for the Carson Forest Service office in town as a part time clerk, a job she enjoyed very much, mostly due to the great people she worked with! Cleo loved her family, relatives and friends. She had a crazy humor and was fun to be with. She loved animals and was always taking in some new cat or dog to care for. She loved life and will be missed very much by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cosme and Doloritas Trujillo of Canon and son, Wayne Anderson of Taos. Cleo is survived by daughter, Wanda Anderson and husband Steve Eskeback of Taos, daughter Joyce Anderson, son, Steve Anderson, grandsons, Angelo and Jericho Anderson, great grandchildren, Vanessa, Cessily and Angel all of San Diego, CA and Richard Trujillo of Canon.
