Connie was a giving person; she shared everything with everyone she knew and never expected anything in return. She had a heart of gold, loved endlessly, had a sharp wit, and always loved a good laugh. Connie was the rock for her family and friends and was that one person you could call and talk to about anything, and she never judged you. She loved her children and grandchildren and always went above and beyond for them; they were her rock. Connie always wanted people to succeed, and if she were able to help to do it, she would.
Connie grew up in Santa Fe and attended Guadalupe elementary, BF Young, graduated from Santa Fe High in 1971, and received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Santa Fe. She worked for the State of New Mexico and retired from Regulation and Licensing in 2000. Connie served on the Board of Directors for Guadalupe Credit Union and was a partial owner of the Sears store in Espanola for many years. Connie also worked for Northern NM College after retirement and moved on to do contract work for the State of NM.
Connie loved to read, bowl, go to the casino, travel, and attend her grandchildren’s sporting events. Connie was never afraid to do any activity with her family or friends, from riding roller coasters, roller skating, rafting, diving into the ocean, attending wine festivals, dancing, camping, snowmobiling, cooking, and baking. Her family could always count on her magical smile and laugh when doing any of these.
A giant hole has been left in our lives without Connie, and she will forever be missed. We love you and know you will always be in our hearts.
