Consuelo Romero

Consuelo (Connie) Romero, 80, went to be with our Lord on August 4, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Antonio Romero; mother Adella Quintana; sister Pat Trujillo; brother Sam Lucero. Consuelo is survived by sons, Joe Romero (Rosie); Patrick Romero (Lorraine); daughters, Rita Esquibel (Phillip); Stella Esquibel (Carlos); Anna Romero (Tammy Mordica); 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Consuelo worked as a cook for Santa Fe Public Schools for 30 years. After retirement, she volunteered as a foster grandparent for 11 years with SFPS. She was a very loving and energetic person, always willing to go anywhere and do anything with her family. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 7:00pm at The Santuario Shrine of Our Lady Of Guadalupe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 7, 2009 at 9:00am also at The Santuario Shrine of Our Lady Of Guadalupe. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
