Cory Wright

Cory Dion Wright, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, gained his wings on Feb 6th, 2024. Cory was born July 1st, 1970 to Virginia Barbero and Cruz Wright, and raised by his bonus dad Daniel Nava. He is preceded in death by his biological dad Cruz, Godmother Evelyn, maternal grandmother Cecilia, maternal grandfather Margarito, nephew Baby Mendoza, and many other relatives that have gone before him. Cory is survived by his pride and joy, his daughters Dionna and Derrica, granddaughter Liliana, mother Virginia, father Daniel, Sisters Danielle (Alfredo) Celeste (Ruben) brother Joel (Yolanda) godson Emilio, his nieces Samantha, Alisha, and Sabrina, great nephew RJ, great niece Olivia and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Cory was many things to many people, but the one thing he had, was the biggest heart. He was a second father to all his siblings, and especially to his nieces and nephews. His smile, laugh, and humor was contagious and he brought joy to everyone he came across. Cory gave his life to the Lord on July 20th, 2014, and served him proudly. He will be deeply missed by everyone he touched. Service will be held on March 6th, 2024 at 11:00am at Blaze Christian Fellowship, 6 Bisbee Ct, Santa Fe, N.M. with a reception to follow. Pallbearer will be Joel Nava, honorary pallbearers will be all his nephews and nieces.
