Craig Emsweller, 71, of El Prado passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2011. He graduated from Cornell University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Theology and attended Northwestern University for Criminal Justice. He worked a as Marshall and detective in law enforcement. He was a longtime Chaplain in Taos with the Taos Living Center. He was a non-denominational minister for over 40 years and he leaves behind his spiritual family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Elizabeth Emsweller and granddaughter, Nicole Medina. He is survived by his wife, Porfie Emsweller, children, Scott Emsweller (Teresa) of Las Vegas, NV, Shawn Emsweller of Albuquerque, Michelle Schmidt (Jeff) of Las Vegas, NV, Melissa Emsweller (Troy) of Las Vegas, NV, Shane Emsweller (Michelle) of Rio Rancho, Leah Vigil of Taos, Gary Trujillo of Taos and 17 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on April 19, 2011 at he Taos Masonic Lodge.
