CUCM Dale W. Musolf USNR Ret., age 72, passed away May 22, 2017 from brain cancer in Santa Fe, NM. He was born on January 30, 1945 in Warren, OH to Helen Mae Musolf and Howard W. Musolf.
He is survived by his wife Carol Elaine Davis, they were married on October 9, 1965, his daughter Janet M. Musolf, son David W. (Nicole) Musolf, granddaughters Helen Emma and Bryce Ann Musolf, sister Donna Mae (Ronald) Price and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1963, joined the US Navy Seabees in 1965, served in Vietnam 1968, receiving the Purple Heart. Dale served active duty from 1965-1968 and continued in the US Navy Reserves until his retirement in 1996 as a Master Chief Constructionman. Dale graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1978. Dale worked at WCI Steel in Warren for 43 years, retiring as Chief Engineer in 2008. Dale also was a certified Professional Engineer. Dale was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Gold Wing Road Riders Assoc. and the Naval Academy Athletic Association.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00am at the Kiva Chapel of Light (Rivera Family Funeral Home). Burial is to take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington DC, with full military honors, at a later date.
