Damian Jose Jimenez Sr.

DAMIAN J JIMENEZ SR Age, 65, of Santa Fe, passed away July 8, 2012 due to a short illness. He was born April 12, 1947 to Armelinda Romero and Merejildo Jimenez who have preceded him death. He is survived by his wife, Della Jimenez; son, Damian Jimenez Jr.; daughters: Anna Maria Jimenez, Crystal (Dickie Baca); sister and brother-in-law; Judy and Manuel Valdez; brother, Delfino Jimenez; and nephew, Paul Valdez; grandchildren: Santiago and Alejandro Jimenez; special grandchildren Ezequiel and Esperanza Jimenez and Arturo Genesis; Christella and Avrianna Baca; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews; God children, relatives and friends. Damian was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe. He was retired from NM State Government in 1997. He enjoyed listening to mariachi music and especially when played by Esperanza. Damian was very caring and always helped others. He loved to be around his family and friends and enjoyed past and present memories, especially those made by all his grandkids. A Rosary was recited at St. John Catholic Church on Thursday, July 12 at 7 p.m. A Mass was celebrated at St. John Catholic Church on Friday, July 13 at 9 a.m. with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
