Dana was a loving soul who was kind and respectful to everyone she encountered. She enjoyed being a mother and dedicated wife. Dana was born on September 23, 1951 in Florida, but grew up in Denver, Colorado. Dana graduated from Adams County High School in 1969 and earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Colorado State University in 1973. Shortly after graduation, Dana entered the then glamorous world of being a flight attendant. Dana traveled the world and enjoyed flying for 30 years. Dana met her future husband Richard Czoski on a ski vacation in Zermatt Switzerland where they had their first date on Valentine’s Day 1977. Their meeting was pure fate since Richard was working in Saudi Arabia and Dana lived in Chicago at the time. Dana and Richard were married on June 17, 1978 in Denver and enjoyed 43 years of love and companionship. Their love of travel and adventure covered six continents, and four decades. They were avid snow skiers and enjoyed scuba diving and theater. They were blessed with daughters Paige in 1990 and Brooke in 1992 and frequently travelled internationally as a family. While living in Denver the family went to their condo in Winter Park every weekend which they called their “Happy Place.” The family moved to Santa Fe in 2003 when Richard accepted a new career opportunity and Dana retired from United Airlines. Dana volunteered frequently through Saint Michael’s High School where the girls attended and was a substitute history teacher at Santa Fe High School. A Celebration of Life will be held in Denver on October 2, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet or the Santa Fe Youth Symphony.
