Darell Royce Powell

Darell Powell Darell Royce Powell, age 64, passed away in Santa Fe, NM on April 11, 2017. He was born in Racine, WI to his parents Wilhelmina L. Powell (1912-20017) and Claude Robert Powell (1910-1992). He is survived by his sister Diane Hawkins, brother Lowell Powell, nieces and nephews, daughter Deva Powell Sharpling (Clifford Sharpling), and ex-wife Dara Doolittle (Steve Thomas). He studied Art at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Architecture and Design at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He started raising his family in Flint, MI before settling in Santa Fe, NM. He was part of a hot air balloon crew, and extra at the Santa Fe Opera (Judith 1989 7 La Traviata 1999). He was a book lover and artist.
