Darren Algire

Darren "Damien" Algire went to his heavenly home on April 18, 2022, at the age of 50, in his hometown of Santa Fe, NM.

Darren was a beautiful soul who found joy in bringing comfort and happiness to those in his life, whether it was his family, many treasured friends, or the countless people he served working in Santa Fe’s hospitality industry for well over a decade. He also cared deeply for those he loved and never hesitated to drop everything for a friend in need. Those who knew him best were blessed to experience his kindness, compassion for others, generosity, and humor. He will be missed more than words can ever say.

Darren was also instrumental in helping raise his three little brothers, a role he took on happily and without hesitation well into their adulthood. His devotion to his brothers and family was the foundation for an unbreakable bond that will endure in their hearts well beyond his passing.

Darren "Damien" is preceded by his brother, Anthony Grisham, his grandparents, Ola and Fernando Garcia, and his uncles, David and Fernie Garcia.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Grisham, his father, Richard Algire, his brothers, Michael Grisham, Robert Grisham, and David Grisham, his sisters, Lisa Algire-Mackenzie and Krista Qualls, his cousins, Billy Algire and Josette Algire Myrick, and his extended family and countless friends.

Funeral services for our beloved Darren "Damien" will be held on Wednesday, May 4th, at 9:30am, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. The Rosary service will begin at 9:30am, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00am. Immediately following the Mass, Darren will be laid to rest in peace at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
