David John Quintana

David J. Quintana, 63, of Cuarteles, passed away on July 18, 2015 following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Celsa Quintana; brother, Dennis L. Quintana, and infant brother, Daniel Quintana. He is survived by his sisters, Dolores E. Roybal (and husband Paul), and Diane Quintana of Española; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Born on July 27, 1951 in Espanola, David lived most of his life in Cuarteles. A Vietnam veteran, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He was a generous person and contributed to several charities and was always there to help out others in need. A memorial service took place on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Rivera Chapel of the Rivera Family Funeral Home & Crematory. A Rosary was recited and Mass of Christian Burial took place on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Santa Cruz de la Cañada Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date. Honorary pallbearers: Leroy Espinoza, Israel Maestas, Ralph Montoya, Larry Quintana, Genaro Rael, Paul Roybal, Dan Valerio, and Marcelino Vigil.
