David Ricky Gonzales Sr.

David Ricky Gonzales Sr., 43, a resident of Peñasco, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. He is preceded in death by his Brother, Alfred Garcia Jr., Father, Benito Medina, Maternal Grandparents, Victoriano and Estefanita Gonzales, Paternal Grandparents, Juan Andres and Isabel Medina, Aunts, Carlotta Gonzales and Alicia Martinez, Uncles, Eustaquio and Michael Gonzales, Great Nephew, Aiden Moñtalvo, Cousins, Vangie and Dale Gonzales. He is survived by his children, David Gonzales Jr. and Mariah Sanchez, Step-children, Ashlee Lucero (Ernie) and Andrew Lucero. Godchildren, Chanelle Garcia (Kevin), Jessie Lucero and Autumn Valenzuela, Mother, Rose Garcia, Sister’s Yolanda Esquibel (Joseph), Vicky Espinoza (Mike) and Cathy Medina. Brothers, Johnny Garcia (Sonia), Nathan Gonzales (Louella), and Eddie Medina (Marsha), close friend Nancy Archuleta, step-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. David was a man full of love, he had a big heart. If anyone was in need, he was the one to call. David’s son and daughter were his whole life, he was very family oriented and continuously told his children, his brothers, sisters, friends and family he loved them. He loved to spend a lot of his time with his twin nieces who adored their uncle. Their smiles and laughter reflected that the minute he entered the room. He so proudly showed them off to all his friends and invited them over just to see them. David loved to laugh and spend quality time with his kids, family and friends, he loved and lived life to the fullest. Our beloved dad, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend, will be extremely missed. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 7:00 PM at San Antonio de Padua Parish in Peñasco, NM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at San Antonio de Padua Parish in Peñasco with burial to follow at Llano Largo Cemetery. Serving the Family as Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Garcia, Nathan Gonzales, Eddie Medina, Joseph Esquibel, tony Garcia, Joel Moñtalvo, Nancy and Danny Archuleta, Jed Dickson, Roy Brown, Matthew Romero, and Jerry Gonzales. The Family of David Gonzales has entrusted the care of their loved one to Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola, NM.
