David R. Vigil

The family of David R. Vigil (Dave) is sad to announce his passing on Saturday December 31st 2011. David was a Taos High graduate (class of 1974), a veteran of the United States Air Force, a retired Taos High School Vocational teacher (1981- 2006). Dave was currently employed with the Taos County Assessors Office as a Global Information Systems (GIS) Technician. He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert T. Sr. & Eloisa (Loy) Vigil, Brother Alfonso A. Vigil, Nephew Christopher D. Vigil, Infant Grandsons Airk, Aiden, Angelo & Joshua Vigil, Brother In-Law Robert V. (Bob) & Great Nephew Angelo Benavidez. He is survived by his wife Cathy J. Vigil, Sons David J. (Leah) Vigil, Joseph M (Jennifer) Vigil, five (5) grand children, Riley D. & MacKenzie A. Bair, Alyssa F, Ashlynn G, Gabriel D. Vigil, brothers/sisters John N (Adelida) Vigil of Santa Fe, Gilbert T. Jr. (Betty) Vigil of Talpa, Faustina M. Vigil of Talpa, and the Late Alfonso A. (Pauline) Vigil of Talpa. In-Laws Pablo J & Madeline Martinez, Brothers and Sisters In- Law: Charlene (the late Robert V.) Benavidez, Christine (George) Vargas, Lawrence (June) Martinez, Joe Martinez, Carmela Martinez (Ben Romero), Adrian (Pacifica) Martinez, Twenty-four (24) Nephews & Nieces, Thirty-four (34) Great Nephews & Nieces, Six (6) Great Great Nephews & Nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on January 04, 2012. Funeral Mass was held on January 05, 2012. Both were held at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Interment followed at 1:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
