DeAnne M. Rodriguez-Vigil, 48, of Santa Fe, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 due to extended illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Felix and Tonie Rodriguez, grandparents Francesquita and Benidicto Rodriguez, Adolfo and Petra Shoemaker, son Isaiah Joseph Vigil , uncles Deacon Tony Rodriguez, John Roybal and Orlando Sisneros, father-in-law Ignacio Vigil, and cousin Patrick Sisneros. DeAnne was born on October 14, 1960, in Santa Fe, NM. She married Joe Vigil on November 26, 1993 at St. Francis Cathedral. DeAnne was schooled in Santa Fe; she attended Vogue School of Beauty Care and worked at Concepts and Planet Hair. As her sons were born, she stayed home to care for her family. DeAnne is a member of the Catholic Church, she sang in choir at Cristo Rey and at St. Francis Cathedral. She held a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She is survived by her husband Joe Vigil, two sons Xavier I. Vigil and Benedict A. Vigil, brothers Roger Rodriguez (Sandra), Ron Rodriguez, and Randy Rodriguez (Carolynn), sister Fran Rodriguez, aunts Rosina Roybal, Arlene Sisneros, Phyllis Rodriguez, and mother-in-law Julia Vigil. DeAnne is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. DeAnne will be remembered as a kind and generous person who will be remembered by many. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 10:00am also at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rosario Cemetery.
