It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Beloved, Debbie Tammy Sanchez. A Mother, a Grandmother, a Daughter, a Sister and a Friend. Debbie passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 6, 2025.
She is preceeded in death by Grandparents, Anita Martinez Sanchez & Leonel Sanchez, Eleanor Trujillo Lopez & Larry Lopez and her beloved Noel Salazar and Joe Ruiz.
She was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. Debbie attended the Santa Fe Public Schools and graduated high school in 1991 from SFHS Vo-Tech. She developed many lifelong friendships and is fondly remembered for her contagious laugh, huge smile, big dimples and her Betty Booper eyes! Her hobbies included being outdoors and in nature, cooking, riding three wheelers, cheerleading, and her music, which was her passion because she loved singing.
She is survived by three sons. Antonio Archuleta (Erica), Lorenzo Archuleta and Andrez Archuleta (Marissa). She was blessed to have four Grandsons, Antonio Tomas Jr., Jonathan, Santiago, and Xaivion Archuleta. Additionally, Debbie is survived by her loving parents, Manuel & Loren Sanchez, brother Anthony Sanchez (Pam), Sister Anita Rodriguez (Chris) and LouAnn Lovato (Patrick). She had a special relationship with her nephews (Joseph, Mitch, Jared, Ale,) and nieces (Stephanie, Erika, Kristy & Andrea) and many great nephews and nieces, cousins, aunties and uncles. A special acknowledgment to Mary Garcia whom was so special to Deb and considered a second Mother and Pastor Jimmy Sandoval (Grace Community Church) for his continued prayers and support.
Debbie's career path always led her to the helping profession as it was part of her nature. Once she became a Mother, she followed her kids to preschool. She worked in the early childhood setting where her sons attended until her sons moved into elementary. She went to school and obtained her Dental Assistant Certificate (PIMA) and later earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from SFCC.
A celebration of Debbie's life will be led by Pastor Jimmy Sandoval on Monday, April 28, at 2pm at Rivera's Funeral Home, 417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe NM 87505. A private burial will be held at a later date.
