Deborah Shapiro

Deborah H. Shapiro, of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away suddenly on December 30, 2016, at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Vivian Hall. She is survived by sons Jesse and Jacob Shapiro, her grandchildren AnnaMarie, Charlie, Ashton, and Jewel, and her sister Andrea Hall. Debbie was a Santa Fe resident for 40 years. She was retired from general residential construction and worked as a ski instructor at Santa Fe ski area for many years. Debbie led the first ever Ladies Build for Habitat for Humanity, was a champion snowboarder, avid kayaker and environmentalist, and volunteer with Kitchen Angels and the Lensic Theater. A celebration service will take place on Thursday, Jan 5th, at 10:00 am at the Rivera Family Funeral Home located at 417 East Rodeo Rd. in Santa Fe, NM.
