Deeanna Vigil

DeeAnna Vigil – Age 25 a resident of Chimayo passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Levi Vigil in 1982 and Simon Vigil in 1973; uncle, Rudy Vigil in 2004; and a cousin, Isaac Vigil in 2004. DeeAnna loved listening to country music and singing, her favorite singer was Brooks & Dunn. She graduated from Española Valley High School in 1998. She was in the ROTC which she really loved. DeeAnna was a very loving person with a beautiful smile for everyone. She also loved to go to R-Way Day Hab to be with her friends there; and she loved to go camping in Pecos. She is survived by her parents: Gilbert and Roselene Vigil of Chimayo; sister, Daisy Vigil of Chimayo; maternal grandmother, Della Vigil of Chimayo; paternal grandmother, Maria Vigil of La Puebla; uncle and aunt that were like a second mom and dad: Michael and Nellie Martinez of La Puebla; very close uncles and aunts: Archie and Patsy Vigil of La Puebla Albert Vigil and wife Darlene of Chimayo; other aunts and uncles: Danny Vigil, Eva Gonzales and husband Joe all of La Puebla; very close cousins: Patrick Vigil of La Puebla, Ashley, Michaela and Michael Ray Martinez all of La Puebla, Tiffini, Julien and Gabriel Martinez all of La Puebla, Simon Vigil; and numerous other relatives and friends. Recitation of the rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Interment will follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Patrick, Simon and Pablo Jude Vigil, Matthew Martinez, Daniel Vigil and Gabriel Martinez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Ashley Gurule, Micaela Martinez, Tiffini and Archie and Derrick Vigil.
