Demetrio Leyba

Demetrio Leyba, 80, passed away Thursday June 19, 2008 at his Santa Fe home following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Valentina Leyba, a son: Jerry Leyba, brother: Frank Leyba, and sister: Erlina Sedillo. He served with the U.S. Army during Korea. Following the war he worked for First National Bank in Santa Fe for many years. He enjoyed fishing very much. He is survived by son: John Leyba, three daughters: Geri Leyba, Gloria Leyba, and Mary Leyba, and daughter-in-law: Frances Leyba all of Santa Fe. He is also survived by his fishing partner and brother-in-law Ramon Sedillo, 3 grandchildren: Deann, Michael, and Destiney, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 1:00pm at Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel. Internment will follow with full Military Honors at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
