Dennis Harold Salazar

With broken hearts, we share that our beloved Dennis H. Salazar, 62, Espanola, formerly a resident of Chimayo passed to eternal rest on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Dennis was preceded in death by his Father Juan C. Salazar, Mother Sinforosa Salazar, brother, Johnny Salazar and sisters, Anita Rendon and Eppie Salazar. He is survived by his Companion, Margaret Tapia, Son Dennis Jr., & Ashley. Granddaughters he was raising; Anna Marie, Alyssa, Samantha, and Seana, other granddaughters are, Aaliyah, Adeline and Aurora. Dennis is also survived by his loving Sisters Lucy Salazar, Virginia Barvoza, Clara Martinez, Annabelle Cruz-Medrano, Julie Rubio & Carlos, and Sandy Ybarra. Missing him terribly as well; Florence & Michael Martinez, Laura & Marcelo Montoya of Albuquerque, Rosalie & Albert Lovato, Sandra & Patrick Martinez, David & Lorraine Rodriguez, Anthony & Tamara Rodriguez, Liza Przyllas, and Lee & Lori Rodriguez of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Dennis is survived by his Mother in law, Eloiza Rodriguez who loved him as her own son. He is survived by many, many other relatives and friends. Dennis was a very devoted family man, loved spending time with his family fishing, camping, hiking and horseback riding. He put family first above all. His grandchildren and son were his joy, Margaret his partner and confidant. He was very mechanically blessed and could fix anything, and was always helping anyone in need. Dennis had a great sense of humor that was contagious and would make everyone laugh at his jokes, but above all, he was a sincere honestly wonderful man making friends where ever he went. So very, very loved and missed. Dennis, well done. Rest in peace. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018, 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Chimayo, New Mexico. Interment will follow at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo, NM. Serving the family as Pall Bearers; Andrew Salazar, Carlos Tafoya, Gabriella Madrid, Annabelle Cruz-Medrano and Carlos Rubio
