Dennis Quintana

November 26, 1950 — June 17, 2024

Dennis Thomas Quintana 73 was called home by our heavenly father on Monday June 17th, 2024. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, born November 26th, 1950, to Secundino and Marie Quintana. Dennis was happily married to Edwina Quintana for 49 years. He was preceded in death by his father Secundino Quintana, brother Mario Quintana and beloved son Dennis Quintana Jr. He is survived by his wife Edwina, daughter Ramona and husband Randy Trujillo, Granddaughters Christiana Trujillo, Miranda Peyton and husband Rocky Peyton, great grandsons Colton Peyton, Steel Peyton, Granger Peyton and Kade Peyton, daughter in law Adrianna Quintana, grandsons Trevor Quintana, Gage Quintana and granddaughter Gabrielle Quintana, mother Marie Quintana, brothers Dino Quintana, Joe Quintana and wife Annette, sisters Bernadette Quintana, Patty Regensberg, Karen Quintana, Stacey and husband Mike Paget and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where he was involved in the Knights of Columbus, a lector, eucharistic minister and devoted two hours a week to the adoration chapel. He worked 50 years in the grocery business until he retired to enjoy time at home with his wife Edwina. Dennis was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and enjoyed visiting and spending time with his family, His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.

His hobbies included hunting, reloading ammunition and target shooting. He was a self-taught wood worker and enjoyed spending time in his workshop designing and building nichos, southwestern style furniture, and building hand carved wooden urns for family and friends. You’d often find him in his backyard feeding his trees, grass and flower beds; enjoying all the foliage he planted himself.

Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Pallbearers are Dino Quintana, Trevor Quintana, Miranda Peyton, Gabrielle Quintana, Christiana Trujillo, and Gage Quintana.

Honorary pallbearers are Randy Trujillo, Rocky Peyton and Dustin Leue.

Funeral services will be held on July 9th, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 100 S. Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87501. A rosary will be held at 10:00am with mass to follow.
