Diana Mabel (Romero) Gonzales, 85, went to be at peace with the Lord on March 31, 2025. Diana was born on April 1,1939 to Cipriano and Eutimia Romero in Jaconita, NM.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ramoncita and Loyola Romero, Belinda Lopez and brother Horacio Romero(Ersilia); her in-laws Antonio and Stella Gonzales. She is survived by her dearly beloved husband Tony Gonzales; daughters Debbie Gonzalez (Rudy), Karyn Romero (Tom), Patricia Gonzales (Adan), and son Anthony Gonzales (Liz). Grandchildren; Jason Vigil, Ryan Gonzalez (Jessica), Kyra Gonzalez, Thomas, Marissa and Andres Romero, Anica and Joshua Urioste, Delilah Medina (Mark), Desire Menchaca (Eli) and Antonio Gonzales. Great grandchildren: Djamarquez Vigil, Leyla Vigil, Elena and Alicia Medina, Ava and Eli Menchaca, Maya, Evan and Liam Gonzalez; siblings Pete Romero (Margaret), Robert Romero (Nancy), Joe Romero (Betty) Christina Salazar (Lonnie) ; in-laws Steve Lopez, Donna McDonald, Fabiola Martinez, Michael Duran(Donna), Charlotte Cortez, Susan Herrera and Reynalda Gonzales; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families, and many cousins and friends.

Diana met Tony when she was a ninth grader in high school. They got married on November 7, 1959, and were married for 65 years. Diana loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly. There was not anything more important to her than family. She always welcomed family and friends into her home, making delicious dinners, sharing stories and laughing together. She loved attending activities such as her kids and grandkids basketball, baseball, volleyball games or dance performances. She was extremely outgoing and had love for everyone around her. She loved socializing, fiestas, dances, family gatherings, shopping, eating out and enjoying a margarita.

Diana touched the heart of so many. She had numerous close friends; she was known for her contagious laughter, kindness and unconditional love, delicious cooking, her tortillas that she made daily spoiling her husband and family. She was most famous for her delicious sopa that she made for every family occasion. She loved dancing and led the Marcha alongside her husband Tony for virtually every wedding for many many years.

Diana will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her as she played a major role in all of the lives around her. She was very well known and liked, was such a beautiful beautiful lady not only on the outside but especially on the inside, taking care of everyone around her.

A visitation will be held Tuesday April 8th, at 5pm, with a Rosary starting at 6pm, Both taking place at Rivera Funeral Home Kiva Chapel of Light, Located at 417 E. Rodeo Rd. Santa Fe NM, 87505. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque at 10 am. Burial will follow at the Pojoaque Catholic Cemetery.
