Dolores T. Vigil

Dolores T. Vigil, 85, a resident of Rio Chiquito passed away on Thursday, July 23 2015, She was preceded in death by her husband Luis T. Vigil, daughter Debra G. Vigil, and parents Gabriel and Genoveva Trujillo. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her children Lloyd A. Vigil and wife Maggie of Rio Chiquito, Philly Vigil and companion Terese Trujillo of Rio Chiquito, Doris Lopez and husband Chris of Cundiyo and Louise Garcia and husband Lionel of Arroyo Seco. She is also survived by her many grandchildren Shelly Gutierrez and husband Tony, Lloyd A. Vigil Jr. Kenneth and Kimberly Lopez, Desiree and Lionel Garcia Jr. Gabriel, Anthony, Daniel and Patrick Vigil. Dolores was an amazing mother and grandmother to all her children and grandchildren. She loved to spoil everyone every chance she had. She was a great weaver and weaved for Ortegas weaving shop for many years. She took great pride in her work. She retired when her first granddaughter was born to babysit and from there on out she never stopped spoiling any of her grandchildren. Dolores believed in the Holy Trinity and prayed the Rosary daily. She loved to spend her leisure time praising the Lord. She was a loving mother and grandmother and an irreplaceable person. Heaven has gained an angel. She will be forever missed and loved. Serving the family as pallbearers were: Lloyd A. Vigil Jr., Gabriel Vigil, Patrick Vigil, Kenneth Lopez, Anthony Vigil, Lionel Garcia Jr., Daniel Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelly Gutierrez, Kimberly Lopez and Desiree Garcia. A public visitation took place on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM followed by a Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, July 25, 2015 also at Holy Family Catholic Church. Fr. Julio will be officiating. Interment took place at the Rio Chiquito Cemetery.
