Domitilla “Tilla” Clokey

September 10, 1929- June 14, 2023

As I wake up in awe of God’s glory, so grateful that you are a part of my story. As you approach Heavenly Fathers throne, the choir of Angels welcomes you home. So unworthy to stand; Jesus our Lord and savior takes your hand. Mom, Grandma as you turn the page, freeing your soul from this mortal cage. Beautiful, strong through it all, I long for Heavenly Father to grant me his call. I know that God’s mercy and grace; will allow us to be reunited face to face.

Domitilla Clokey passed away at age 93 in Santa Fe, N.M. on June 14, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Domitilla was born September 10th, 1929, in Santa Fe, N.M. to Carmen and Rosa Roybal. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Clokey, daughters Evelyn Clokey, Patsy Basham, and her son Nick Clokey; grandchildren Yvonne Nannette Perea, Joey Otero, Betty Clokey, Jon Paul Martinez, and Richard Saiz (Yvette Saiz). 

She is survived by her daughters Theresa Clokey and Carmen Ortiz (Joseph) along with 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. 

Services will take place on September 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at Christian Fellowship Church, 2860 Cerrillos Rd. #5 Santa Fe N.M. 87507, followed by burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street Santa Fe N.M. 87501, at 2:30pm.
