Donaciano E. Gonzales age 85 and a lifelong resident of Chupadero, died peacefully on Friday February 29, 2008. He worked for the Laborers & Construction Union # 802, as a custodian for the State Office in Santa Fe, and as a housekeeper at Horizons Nursing Home, and was a World War II Army veteran serving in the Philippines. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Rose Vigil-Gonzales in 1991; his beloved parents: Emiliano and Trinidad Gonzales; brother, Joe Gonzales; sister, Bessie Talache; aunt, Augustina Vigil and uncle Rafael Vigil. He is survived by his loving children: Victoria Dolores Flores and husband Ramiro of CA., Pauline Flores and husband Salvador of Chupadero, Emiliano Gonzales of CA., Gloria Lorraine Soto of Santa Fe and Ricky Gonzales of Chupadero; brothers: Pedro Gonzales of CA. and Luis Gonzales and wife Rita of Chupadero; sisters: Tessie Martinez of Santa Fe, Toni Alejo of TX., Lenora Wiggins and husband Frank of Santa Fe, Lupe John and spouse of Chupadero and Juanita Gonzales of Rio En Medio; sister-in-law, Edwina Gonzales of Chupadero; 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and other relatives. A visitation and prayer service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A funeral service is being held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. also at the mortuary. Interment will take place at 11:30 am at The Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Louie Orta, Raymond Orta, Ramiro Flores, Jr., Henry Gonzales, Eddie Sanchez and Martin Soto. Honorary pallbearers will be Sophie Torres, Yolanda Flores, Ramona Flores, Rosemary Soto, Emma Martinez, Dolores Flores, Lupe Flores, Christine Villas, Renee Sanchez and Elisa Flores.
