Doreen Yvette Duran, 55, died peacefully on October 6, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
A Native Santa Fean, Doreen graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1985 and worked for the State of New Mexico’s Taxation and Revenue Department until she retired in 2013 after 25 years. Doreen enjoyed working in human resources and took pride in a job well done.
Doreen loved her family. She is preceded in death by her father Alfonso; aunt Dorthy; her grandparents Luis “Grandpo” and Beatrice Duran, and maternal grandparents Alfonso and Anita Garcia.
Doreen is survived by Husband of 32 years Anthony Baldonado and their children: Ashley, Gina (Gilbert), Ariana and Antonio; her Mom Lorraine, her sister Michelle and her significant other Mike; her sister Andrea and her husband Michael Sisneros, and her many nephews and nieces. Doreen is also survived by her sisters-in-law Arlene (Roger) and Donna (Gabriel).
Doreen was so proud to be a grandmother and loved her precious grandchildren so much: Julian, Jeremiah, Samara, Kamille, Roman, Bryson and Geno.
In her short life, Doreen loved many things, including: God, nice, fast cars; AC/DC, cooking for family and friends, Zozobra because her birthday was September 8th, leopard skin everything, spoiling her kids and grandkids, and sunflowers.
Who can look at a sunflower and not think of Doreen? They symbolize loyalty, and Doreen was so loyal! They symbolize adoration, and everyone who knew Doreen adored her.
