Edmund "Ed" Shelton

Edmund “Ed” Shelton, 59 of Valdez passed away on August 29, 2018. Ed was an owner of Taos Vapor Express, and previously managed several hotels in Taos and Santa Fe. He has been actively involved in the Taos community for more than 25 years. Before moving to Taos, he worked his way up to management in the family business at Capitol Business Machines. A native New Mexican, he was an All-American athlete during his school years in Santa Fe. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Shelton, in-laws, Robert P. and Delphina Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Robina Martinez-Shelton, mother, Rosalie Rice, children, Ashley Rhodes (Marcus), Lance Shelton and Andrew Martinez, grandchildren, Devon Martinez and Alexus Shelton, brothers, Eric Shelton (Denise), James Shelton and Steven Shelton, sister, Sonya Shelton (Dave Shuchat), The Martinez Family, Stephanie (John), Carol Jean, Lloyd (Judy), Patricia (Robert), Ronald, Victor (Raelynn), Raymond, Terrie (Patrick) and Edwin (Michael), many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco with interment to follow at the Valdez Cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
