Edubigen Chacon

Edubigen M. Chacon, 97, of Rodarte passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 after a courageous 5 month battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Augustina and Ramon Muniz, husband, Jubencio Chacon, daughter, Violet Vargas, sons, Florencio and Jubencio Chacon Jr., grandson, Michael White and brother, Jose Muniz. She touched the lives of many people with her compassion and generosity. Her memory will live on in her surviving children, Lorraine Archuleta, Teofila Gonzales and Ramon Chacon of Rodarte, Eloisa Mathews (Lalo) of Albuquerque, Augustina White of Big Lake, MN and Fidela Gonzales (Orlando) of Vadito, daughters in law, Connie Chacon and Eva Sanchez. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edubigen had the pleasure of knowing 28 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 27 great great grandchildren. Special thanks to Father Vitus, Mountain Home Health Care employees that cared for her, namely, Nurse, Darlene Trujillo, caregivers, Teofila Gonzales and Jessica Ortiz. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 7 PM at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Penasco. Fuenral mass will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11 AM at San Antonio de Padua Church with interment to follow at the Llano de San Juan Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Vargas, Ruby Dominguez, Mark Ismond, Kathy Gonzales, Chris White, Amanda Lucero, Jason Gonzales and Joseph Chacon.
