Efigenia Virginia Martinez

Efigenia “Virginia” Martinez, age 73, has passed away on June 20, 2017. She was born in Coyote, NM to parents Olympia and Juan. She married Louie Martinez on February 8, 1963 in Monticello, Utah. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Melicendo, Efigenia and Cedilia Lovato, Father Juan Martinez, Son Darrell Martinez, Daughter Darcey Martinez, and Step Daughter Lisa Torres. She is survived by her Husband Louie Martinez, Children Louise Martinez, Raymond Martinez (Deniece) and Jeffrey Martinez, Mother Olympia Martinez, Brother Eutimio “Tim” Martinez, 13 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her special cousin, Marcella Garcia, whom she considered a sister. She worked at St. Vincent Hospital as a CAN until her health started to fail. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters. A devoted wife and mother, she dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and many niece and nephews. She was a devoted Catholic. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Kiva Chapel of Light (Rivera Family Funeral Home). The Mass will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church with a burial to follow at the Memorial Gardens at Rivera’s. Pallbearers are Zachary Martinez, Tacovi Warren, Paul DeAnda, Jose Santana, Angel Sustaita, and DeWayne Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers Lance Marinez, Tony Martinez, and Alyda Jade Martinez.
