ELEANOR Q. ROYBAL Born September 18, 1928, in Santa Fe, Ellie was carried into our Lord’s arms Thursday, July 28, 2016. Preceded in death by husband George P. and son George A., brothers, Rosinaldo, Guadalupe (Dolores), Eloy (Nellie), Tito, and sisters, Lorencita, Doris, Marty (Phil), Flo (Orlando) she was the last surviving child of parents José and Delfina Quintana. She is survived by her children Rebecca, Reina (James), Bebo (Yvonne), Michael, Regina (Bill) 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, very special nephews and nieces, cousins, family, and friends whose lives she touched throughout the years. Our beloved Mom lived a blessed, healthy and joyful life. Known for her sweet nature, kindness and beautiful smile she welcomed everyone to her home on the hill and loved nothing more than entertaining family and friends. Eleanor spent many years as a stay-at-home mom later dedicating her secretarial skills and talents to state government where she made many long-lasting friends. Ellie loved her family and favorite activities like attending mass, visiting, singing, and dancing. She will be greatly missed. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the Santuario de Guadalupe. Mass of Christian Burial is on Thursday, August 4, at 12:00 pm at the Cathedral Basilica with interment following at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ellie’s honor to St. Elizabeth’s Shelter.
