Elfido Garcia

Elfido Garcia, 90, of Llano de San Juan was born April 24, 1931 and took the hand of Jesus during his final journey to heaven on January 31, 2022.  Elfido is proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Mercebella Garcia, son, Henry Garcia, grandson, Johnathan Gonzales, parents, Leopoldo & Sofiria Garcia, brothers, Roberto, Presciliano & Alfonso Garcia, sisters, Celia Sanchez & Dulcinea  Tafoya.  Elfido was a hard-working, kind, loving, smart, and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was the heart of the family home and provided many treasured years of laughs, happiness and memories. His family often went to him for advice and guidance. He was always willing to share his many stories of adventures he experienced throughout his life. His presence is missed greatly by his family.  His passing has left a huge void and great sadness in his family's hearts; however, we thank the Lord for the many happy years he allowed us to have with him in our lives.  Elfido is survived by his loving family; son Harold & Gloria Garcia, daughter LouAnn Cordova & Matthew Martinez, grandsons; Daniel & Annette Garcia & Adrian & Alexandria  Garcia, granddaughter; Amber & Matthew Martinez great grandchildren; Shyanne Huffman  & Eric Lopez, Mario Garcia, Bentley Martinez, Riley Martinez, Adrianiyah Garcia, Iris Lopez, and Damian Garcia.  Serving the family and Our beloved Elfido as pallbearers Daniel Garcia, Adrian Garcia, Mario Garcia, Matthew Martinez, Bentley Martinez, Matthew A. Martinez and Norman Esquibel.  Honorary Pallbearers Shyanne Huffman, Riley Martinez, Adrianiyah Garcia, Iris Lopez, Damian Garcia. The family of Elfido would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the Staff at The Suites Rio Vista.  They always treated him (and our family) with great respect, love and compassion.  We would also like to l thank the staff at Rivera Funeral Home for the very professional and compassionate care and service they have provided to us.

Services Public Viewing on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Rivera Chapel with Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass on Friday February 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at San Antonio de Padua in Penasco with interment to follow at Llano de San Juan Cemetery. Face masks are required.
