Eligio E. Jacquez, age 89, resident of Santa Fe and formerly of Coyote, NM, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018, of natural causes. Mr. Jacquez was preceded in death by his wife, Florinda Jacquez, his parents, Andres and Gertrude’s Jacquez, sister, Antonia Jacquez, a brother Phil and wife Ramona Jacquez, brother, Alex Jacquez, sister Marlene and husband Marion Manzanares, sister Angelica and husband Manuel Chacon.
He is survived by brother Marino and wife Marcella Jacquez, sister-in-law, Simmie Jacquez, son, Amador Jacquez, son Jerome and wife Diahann Jacquez, daughter, Dubie and husband Charles Smith, daughter Frances Jacquez and companion Vincent Moore, daughter Corrine Rodriguez, and step-daughter Nancy and husband Johnny Livingston. Mr. Jacquez was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
Funeral services will begin Thursday, July 19, 2018 with public visitation at Rivera Family Funeral Home at 6pm followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7PM. On Friday, July 20, 2018 a Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7pm at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Juan Bautista Cemetery, Coyote, NM.
