Eliseo Rael, 79, of Questa passed away on September 30, 2013. He was a lifelong rancher and was a meat processor for over 50 years. Eliseo was passionate for ranching and farming and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to work. Eliseo retired as a miner from the Moly Mine in 1998 and also worked at the Summitville Mine in Colorado. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served overseas in Korea. He is preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Veronica Vialpando, parents, Ezequiel and Feliz Rael, sisters, Benita Gonzales and Evangeline Mares, brothers, Alex and Jose Rael and son in law, Fritz B. Vialpando III. He is survived by his wife, Laura Rael, children, Cynthia H. Rael of Las Cruces, Annette Rael (Daniel Garcia) of Rio Rancho and Ezequiel Rael of Questa, grandson he raised like a son, Daniel Rael of Las Cruces, grandchildren, Billi Shyanne Huffman and Mario Garcia, brothers, Claudio Rael (Precides) and Joe Rael, sister, Louisa Rael, brother in law, Jaime Gonzales, many other relatives and friends.
Rosary was recited on October 3, 2013. Funeral mass was held on October 4, 2013. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos with interment following at El Pueblito Cemetery in Questa.
