Elizabeth C. Bennett, 88 passed away on April 8, 2018 of natural causes. She was a resident of Los Alamos, NM. Elizabeth was born in Memphis, TN on June 22, 1929 to Iris Irene Needham and James Crowson. She and Elbert W. Bennett were married on December 1, 1962 in Los Alamos, NM. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her beloved husband Elbert White Bennett, father James David Crowson, mother Iris Irene Needham and sister Evelyn Patricia Greenblatt. She is survived by her son Paul Bennett from Vicksburg, MS, daughter Patty Bennett Fox (Robert Fox) from Coatesville, PA and her son James Bennett (Gwendolyn Aldrich) from Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Simon, Sophie, and Scarlet Fox, Melinda and Jeremy Aldrich-Bennett. Elizabeth was a lifelong learner, founder of two food co-ops in Los Alamos, NM. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader, Girl Scout Leader, World Traveler, Adventurer and Maverick. Elizabeth was a volunteer at the Wildlife Center in Arroyo Seco, NM and a volunteer at Jemez House. She will be forever missed. Memorial contributions can be made to Southern Poverty Law Center; Guide Dogs for the Blind or The Wildlife Center in Arroyo Seco. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Unitarian Church in Los Alamos, NM.
