Elizabeth Taylor Chavez (Betty) made here transition into the next life on January 04, 2024 to be with her beloved husband Leopoldo (Leo) of 40 years. He left her in Nov. of 1995. She was also preceded in death by her father, Dewey Taylor of Shingle Springs, CA, her, other, Mary Taylor of Sacramento, CA and her older brother, William Taylor of Stockton, CA. She was born in Placerville, Ca on Sept 17, 1937 and was the great-great granddaughter of the Thomas Orr family of pioneers who traveled with Brigham Young on their journey from Missouri to find refuge from persecution of the Mormon way. The Orr family settled in Natoma, CA in the 1800’s and had a large ranch where Folsom lake is now situated. They later moved to Shingle Springs, CA where there are still living decedents. Her grandfather William George Taylor was a Blacksmith and Justice of the Peace in El Dorado, CO for many years. She is survived by her son, Donald of Shingle Springs, CA, her son, Michael of Mayhew, Miss, her daughter, Laura Kildon, of Shingle Springs, CA, Leo Taylor of El Dorado, CA, a sister, Patricia Garner of Payette, Idaho, two special cousins, LeRay McCormick of Washington and Elmore McCormick of Richmond, CA, many, many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends. Her very special grandchildren, Joshua Dewey Kildon, Timothy Leo Chavez, Alicia Chavez, Melissa Kildon, Brandon Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Shay Lien Chavez, and Anthony and Elizabeth Chavez.
