Eliza Chavez

Eliza Chavez (Lisa) a resident of Santa Fe, NM went to be with Jesus Christ her Savior on May 1st, 2023.  Eliza was born in Santa Fe, NM On August 21, 1982 to Ernest Zamora and Virginia Tapia.  She is Preceded in death by her parents, brother Nene Zamora, Sister Linda Monique Tapia, Grandparents Elidoro, Frances, Patricio, Tonita, Eliza, In laws Fred and Florence Chavez, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.  Special fury friend Tiffany.

She is survived by her beloved husband Jacob Chavez, and her pride and joy daughter Jalyssa Chavez, Danny Martinez (who was like a father to her), Brothers Isaac Tapia, Michael Chavez, Marcos Martinez, Sisters Tina, Yolanda (Ryan), Angelica (Xavier), Lori (Arthur) and Destiny (Steven).  Nieces, Shania, Kayla, Natasha, Kylee, Destiny, Octavia, Trinity, and Lilliana.  Nephews, Xavier, Adrian, Lucas, Jordan, Raiden, Mikey, Ares, and Jeremy. God Children Natasha, Adrian, and Bonita.

Special thanks to Danny Martinez,  Robert Tapia, Frances Ortega, and Diana Harvier for always being there for her.

Lisa was an amazing Mother and treasured her time with her daughter Lyssa.  She had a beautiful soul and cared so deeply for the people around her.  Always had a smile on her face and lived her life to the fullest as if it were her last.  Lisa was loving, fun, sarcastic, independent, (kid magnet) as she would say. Lisa will be missed deeply and will forever be in our hearts. 

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at 6pm at Rivera’s and Wednesday May 31st Mass will be held at 10am at St. Annes Church.
